"No thanks Mick. I'm almost finished." Mike walked over to the closet and pulled out two shirts. He held them up and studied them for a second. "Hey Mick…"
"The blue one."
"Thanks man." Mike quickly hung the other shirt back up and walked over to his bed where the suitcase lay full of clothes.
"So uh… what time does your plane leave?"
Mike looked at his watch as he folded the shirt. "In two hours. Why?"
"Just curious." Micky couldn't admit it, but he knew that he was going to miss Mike. He also had no idea of how much Mike was going to miss him.
Mike closed the suitcase and carried it over to the bedroom door. He placed a hand on Micky's shoulder and looked into his eyes, trying not to let his feelings show. "Well buddy… I guess uh..." He paused then removed his hand from Micky's shoulder, and took a step back. "You better go downstairs and help Peter. You know how frustrated he gets when he's trying to pack."
This brought a grin to Micky's lips. "Yeah. That'd be a good idea." Micky turned around and started to walk out the door, then turned back towards the room again.
"Aren't you coming Mike?"
"No. I'll be down in a minute."
Micky nodded his head then headed back out the door and down the stairs.
Once he knew Micky was out of earshot, Mike let out a heavy sigh. He placed a hand over his eyes and shook his head a little. "Oh why the fuck do I have to feel this way about him?! He's my best friend for God's sake!" He walked over and sat on his bed to think.
"Damn it Peter! Do you want my help or not?!" Came Micky's aggravated cry from inside Peter and Davy's bedroom.
Stacey walked into the bedroom and looked around in disgust. "What the hell happened in here?" She asked with a laugh. "Shit Peter, did your closet explode?"
The closet door and dresser drawers were wide open, and clothes were strewn about the room. There was a suitcase wide open on Peter's bed. The only things in it were three pairs of identical white socks and what appeared to be a hairbrush. Peter looked at the clothes and scratched his head with a sheepish grin. "I'm not the world's best packer."
"Obviously. Looks like you need a woman's touch in here. I came just in time." Stacey said with a smile.
"I thought that's why Micky came in, to help." Smirked Davy.
"Fuck you, Davy!" Micky exclaimed as he chucked a bunched up jacket in Davy's direction.
"I see why you room with Mike. It would be impossible to live with either of them." Chuckled Stacey as she folded a t-shirt.
"Tell me about it." Peter and Davy said simultaneously.
Micky and Stacey were sitting together at the kitchen table.
"Well Stace. It's just us now."
"Yeah. Nice isn't it?"
"Oh yeah, it is." Micky paused and looked down at his hands. "But it doesn't seem right that the four of us aren't together."
"You guys are really close, aren't you?"
"Yeah, we are." He looked up at her and smiled. "You know, Stace, we have the place to ourselves now."
"You're right Micky."
"This is going to work out perfect." Micky held the side of her face as he leaned in for a soft, wet kiss.
Mike glanced out the plane window and sighed. He could not get Micky off of his mind. He kept thinking about the day he first saw him. It was on the beach. Everyone was there that day. He looked down shore and saw him. What a gorgeous smile he had! From the distance Mike couldn't tell if he was a woman or a really pretty guy in drag. That didn't matter to him. Micky was so beautiful, Mike wanted so much to run up and touch him, just to see if he was real. It would really have been a shame if Micky was alone, which he was. Mike just had to have him.
Mike was aroused from his daydream as a hand was placed on his leg.
"Hey, are you all right? You look like something's bothering you."
"I'm fine. It's just um…" Mike looked over to see the most gorgeous creature sitting next to him. Well, next to Micky he was the most gorgeous creature he'd ever seen.
"It's just what?" He asked with a smile.
Mike looked away and blushed. "Nothing."
"It's all right. What's your name?"
"Michael."
"I'm Steven. Well Michael looks like we're in for a wonderful flight."
Mike smiled and looked into Steven's eyes. "Yes. I believe we are."
