Did anyone see the show on Oliver the supposed half human/half chimp mutation on the Discovery Channel today (6/7)? They showed a clip of Micky and Davy (and I think Boyce and Hart too) on a mid '70's Chinese television special dedicated to finding out whether Oliver was indeed a human/chimp mix (or just a really smart chimp). When asked what he thought about it, Micky replied,"I'm just curious to see what he is; I mean, he's a monkey, and of course, we're monkees..." The responses of the others weren't shown. All I could think was, 'what the hell?!!' Wow, was work that slow for them in the 70's? Has anyone else seen this?

I know I sent the pictures of Mike, but I can't help but notice that Mike, had some very hairy, nipples back in the day. He didn't have hair anywhere else on his chest, just his nipples. I also noticed that he has a little belly pouch, in the one where he's sitting in the sand, with his swim suit on. He must have been drinking way too much beer back in the day. He almost looked pregnant.

I'm glad to see Mike in the Black box again, there's been so much talk about old Micky recently...and i'm not even gonna go near the 'old mike' subject...lets just stick with young and beautiful shall we? But let me ask a question to all those who care...i know we all (well most of us anyway) seem to prefer second season Micky with those lovely curls...but what about Mike? First or second season? I seem to find more pix of first season Mike around here.
Personally, for me it depends on the episode...and in the second season he was more without the hat, which on many occasions is a good thing as it seems to lose its 'cute' factor damn quick. Although, i think generally, i like the first season Mike, probably because he looks more convincingly adorable rather than moody and cynical...i suppose it usually depends on what my mood is too.

What about u guys? What do you think?

I have to laugh. Recently it was announced that Davy, became a grandfather, for the second time, in less than a year. The issue that has been getting nasty, is that his daughter, Jessica, who is about 20 or 21, is the mother and she is unwed. There have been many people who have been calling her a whore, and white trash, and saying how she was sinning, because she has been having pre-marital sex.

It's funny because most of the people who have been saying this are suppose to be big fans of one or all of the Monkees. They're condeming this poor girl, for doing what she wanted to do. These dumbass, fuckheads seem to have forgotten that each of those not so innocent Monkees themselves, got their girlfriends pregnant out of wedlock too. Micky knocked up Samantha before they got married. Ami cam from that. Davy did the same with his first wife Linda. She actually had their first child, before they got married. Mike got Phyllis pregnant before hand, and dumb fuck Peter, got Reine pregnant.
Gee....Does that mean you've condemed them all??? Talk about some dumb,head up their ass,hypocritical fans.

If anything I think the fans should be more ashamed of themselves and their behavior in all of this, than Jessica. She has nothing to be ashamed of. The fans I was talking about, are the ones that when you say a Monkee's name or just the name Monkees, their eyes get stars in them. WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable. I've been hearing stories like these on various topics for years and it never ceases to amaze me how hypocritical and just plain blind these people can be. About the controversy with Davy's daughter...the people condemning her must be southern baptists. They are about as hypocritical as it gets. (my apologies to any that may be on here, my views are unique and jaded.)

Also, sad to say, but all of my fics except Sphere are gone. That includes the BB stories I used to have posted here, (think there were only two, but still) original stuff, my two novels in progress, all of it. I'm still not happy, and it's been days. Not at all. Three years and 97% of my stuff down the drain. Remember, Dona, when you said I should stick to writing instead of debating? Looks like I lose at both. LOL!! Oh well.

I am entering Sphere in a ff contest, and sent a short story I have on this puter to a online publisher's contest (though I'm not happy with the ending), so maybe I'll have some luck after all this. Pub contest pays the winner $40. <G>

Ok, I got the DVD set! the first episode I watched was "Case of the Missing Monkee". Ah, the internet saves me in times of chrisis. I have been a Micky fan since I was a like 2. Then When I was a shorty in the late 80's, I charmed my way backstage. I kept my dignity, and procceed to drink said bottle of Jack with the bouncer, trying to get information. I just got really drunk, had a number of interesting requests from the road crew.

I did not mention at that time that Peter and Davy are also holding hands. Hey Dona, I'm redecorating too. Decorating is one of my passions. (Second of course to staring at pics of the fab body of Micky! Oooh those abs, that ass, those eyes, that smile...) ROTFLMAO!!! That picture! Where the fuck, is that damn AOL emoticon, with the wide eyes and the mouth open, when you need it!? I saw that picture, of Micky, first thing this morning, while I was eating my breakfast. Needless to say, I spewed my Froot Loops, all over the screen. Words cannot express what I am thinking right now. That has got to be the funniest picture of him, I have ever seen. He looks like he was in Siberia, the way he's all covered up.
